Chris White asked a question in Twitter on February 05, 2010 03:10:
Can I set the Twitter widget's height to auto?Is there any way to set (or hack) the height of the official non-Flash Twitter widget to auto? I've got it setup in a long sidebar on my site and the absolute pixel height isn't particularly elegant. If I set the height longer then I will need I end up with the Twitter logo and 'join the discussion' floating awkwardly below the last Tweet. If I set it too short I need a scrollbar or it just cuts off a tweet, neither of which look very good on the site.
Any ideas? I've tried killing the height deceleration, setting it to a percent and setting it to auto but nothing's working.-

I'm nearly ready to switch to Socialite over this issue. I can't believe this wasn't coded in from the start and that it hasn't been fixed yet. Shouldn't any text handling automatically include select, copy and paste? This isn't Flash and Nambu isn't an AIR app; this kind of system integration is why we chose Nambu over an AIR app in the first place.

Another decent alternative that's free this time: Screenpresso http://www.screenpresso.com
I really hope that we won't need any alternatives someday. I hope Plasq is secretly still working on this.

Out of curiosity, why couldn't you just sync all the information directly to the iPhone instead of it relying on Amazon? You're already syncing the largest piece of data (I assume), the image associated with an item, is the database information that prohibitive?
Or am I fundamentally misunderstanding something? Is the problem that nothing on the iPhone can originate from Amazon even if it's being channeled through the separate Mac application that does fit within the Amazon terms of agreement?
Chris White replied on January 12, 2010 03:34 to the idea "Wanted: List of my physical books now available on kindle" in Delicious Monster:
Hmm, I can see your point but, as someone who just added all my Kindle books, Steam (digital download platform) games and several other virtual items to Delicious Library I really think this is useful. Being able to figure out whether I own a book—physical or note—at a glance is super useful. As is managing my reviews and ratings on each of these as well.
As the number of platforms I use grows so does knowing where these digital items exist too, did I download that game to my Xbox, iPhone, Wii, through Steam or Impulse or even just as a stand alone, or maybe I own a physical copy? Same issue with the three different comic book platforms I've played around with on the iPhone. It's the same essential paradigm, it's just abstracted, at least, that's the way I look at it. It seems like on some level you guys think so too, if you didn't I wouldn't see my iTunes collection in the sidebar.
Right now I've settled with just tweaking the 'format' field to add these items but real support would make things much easier and the Kindle (or Audible) seem like they would be really popular among your users.
