New Features in Cha-Ching 1.6
- Transfers are now fully implemented and supported on the iPhone
- Scheduled transfers are now supported on the iPhone
- Enhanced category management (renaming a category is now instant whereas in 1.5 it could take up to 30 seconds)
- New per category options for including/excluding incoming and outgoing transactions
- New "Exclude from Budget" toolbar icon to quickly exclude transactions from the budget on a one time basis.
- Other budget enhancements/fixes
- New transaction detail view (now scrollable to show full length notes and account info)
- Adjusted layout of the "accounts" screen to be more readable
- Payee tab now remembers its position (all, favorite or nearby)
- Changed new transaction button back to a "+" button (instead of the compose button)
Bugs fixed in Cha-Ching 1.6
- Fixed an issue that caused Cha-Ching to crash suddenly when entering a transaction
- Fixed an issue where "total spent" might not be accurately represented from within your budget
- Fixed an issue where the "Passcode Lock" screen would show when receiving a text message or system alert while using Cha-Ching touch
- Fixed an issue where transaction status (pending vs. reconciled) wouldn't sync correctly in some cases
- Fixed an issue where "nearby" payees wouldn't be found sometimes
- Fixed an issue where syncing might only work once per session
- Fixed an issue which prevented setting a transaction category to "uncategorized"
- Fixed a crash that occurred when deleting a category from the category list while searching
- Fixed an issue where payee categories weren't syncing properly to the iPhone
- Fixed an issue where category changes might not sync with Cha-Ching 2.0

Inappropriate?Noticed 2 slight issues, nothing major though
The Loans category doesn't have an icon and when you start a sync the favourites section in the Cha-Ching desktop toolbar is collapsed
Other than that, great, glad Apple finally pulled their finger out, here is hoping 1.7 doesn't take as long to approve ;)2 Comments

Same here. Seems iffy when it does it though, doesn't collapse everytime.

Inappropriate?Bug Found: Create a new Transaction, type a number and then tap Transfer. Then hit Cancel. It will says $0.00 but if you type again it brings up the previous value and expands on it. Basically a visual bug, resets back to 0. -
Inappropriate?ChaChing touch is definately faster and more responsive (after a restart of the iPhone of course).

Inappropriate?I just updated to 1.6 and all my categories were missing. I had to manually reapply all the categories to all my 100+ payees. Also, my custom categories are missing an icon. There's just a dashed line box now. Another issue is with my budget, where it's labeled red when the total amount equals exactly to the budgeted amount I specified. I restarted my phone and the issues are still there. I don't have ChaChing for Mac so I don't want to delete the app and reinstall. Please help!!

Aside from the category issues you have reported the other issues are more or less things that are working as expected...
When you reach the budgeted amount the item turns "red" to as a warning that you have nothing left to spend. The custom categories don't have icons in this release only the placeholder box.
We are adding support for custom category icons in the next release which is the reason for this change.
I am wondering what happened with the payee categories though :( That is very strange. That issue came up in beta testing and it should have been fixed in the 1.6 release.
I will certainly look into it and see if I can do anything about it although I have no way to reproduce it right now.

Same issue here, trying a restart of the iPhone.
EDIT: restarting the device didn't fix it :-/ -
Inappropriate?Just a note. I didn't use iphone version for months because I had problems with syncing. Today I decided to give it a try but than I got all my old scheduled items transferred so I had to spend 15 minute deleting them out. I guess solution is to delete the app and install it again so its empty before sync
